The History

SMK PU (1) is located at Jalan PU 5, Bandar Puchong Utama, Selangor. It is a government school.

The school was opened on the 1st of January of 2001. It started with 394 form 1 students (14 classes) and 57 remove students (2 classes). The number of students keeps on increasing year after year. Today, the number of students is reaching 3000.

The Principal is En Mohd Mahmudi bin Bakri. Pn Maimun binti Mohamed and En Mohd Yusof bin Ibrahim joined the management as Senior Assistants of Academic Studies and Students Affairs, respectively. Tuan Hj Mohd Mujab bin Sukaimi was later assigned Senior Assistant of Co-Curricular Activities. Later in May 2003, Pn Rohani binti Mohd Noor, succeeded Pn Maimun who transfered to Serawak.

In January 2004, Pn Lailiah binti Harun was appointed Senior Assistant of Afternoon Session with the opening of the school's afternoon session. It started with 12 form 1 classes.

The PTA was officially launched in the first administrative year itself. The first chairman was Tuan Hj Mohd Padzil bin Mohd Said. He heads the PTA until today. Tn Hj Mohd Padzil is a renowned figure in Malaysia's corporate scene.

- To provide knowledgeable and highly-skilled staff who are able to improve their self-image and career.
